Dr Sophie Robinson

Laureate Research Fellow

Sophie Robinson is an ARC Laureate Research Fellow at the Planetary Health Equity Hothouse at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at ANU. Prior to joining RegNet, Sophie completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne. Her thesis focused on understanding governance approaches that support the climate resilient development of healthcare systems. Sophie is interested in embedding eco-centric understandings into existing governance paradigms.

Currently, Sophie is exploring the politics of Planetary Health Equity in Australia. Particularly, she is examining the role of different types, forms, and spaces of power in perpetuating or undermining the consumptogenic system. Sophie is passionate about conducting research that provides practical insights and advice on addressing the structural drivers of ecological degradation and worsening societal inequities.
