Richard Dening

Richard Dening has been managing and working in restorative justice services since 2013 in both Queensland and the ACT. Richard has also been writing, presenting, facilitating and training in the areas of mediation, peacebuilding, restorative justice and non-violent conflict resolution in community, institutional and prison-settings since 2009.

Richard holds qualifications in peace and conflict studies, law, and conflict management and resolution. Richard has been a member of the board of Restorative Practices International since 2022. Richard has a strong interest in restorative justice practice in the context of domestic, family and sexual violence.

Research Interest

The development of skilled restorative justice practitioners and the role that training can play in creating institutional change.
