An empirical exploration to the governance health systems in the climate crisis and a look towards the powerful systems, actors and ideas constraining planetary health equity.
Healthcare systems are increasingly recognised as critical arenas for advancing climate resilient development, yet the governance arrangements that enable or constrain this remain poorly understood. This webinar synthesises research from three sites —Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Australia to help illuminate common barriers and enablers of governing for climate resilient development in healthcare. Sophie will also discuss the importance of extending the boundaries existing health and governance paradigms to better embed social-ecological and socio-cognitive factors. She will also share her current research at the Hot House.
About the speaker
Sophie Robinson is an ARC Laureate Research Fellow at the Planetary Health Equity Hothouse at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at ANU. Prior to joining RegNet, Sophie completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne, researching governance approaches that support the climate resilient development of healthcare systems.
