Knowledge networks and policy research centres are being established in order to provide information and to produce knowledge to inform health policy. Many of these studies take a comparative approach that seeks to learn from the experience of several countries.

International Healthcare Comparisons Judith Healy is a member of this research network that provides policy briefings to the UK Department of Health. This network focuses on comparative analysis to facilitate learning from the experience of other health systems as an input to policy development by the Department of Health (UK).

A knowledge network on health systems for policy makers in Asia A study that explored views on the need for an information mechanism in the Asian region, through which policy makers could pose questions on health system issues and receive timely responses.

Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policy Judith Healy is a board member on this observatory. The Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (the APO) is a collaborative partnership of interested governments, international agencies, foundations, and researchers that promotes evidence-informed health system policy regionally and in all countries in the Asia Pacific region.
