Narantuya Ganbat

Dr. Narantuya Ganbat is a RegNet alumnus and a Visiting Fellow. Dr Ganbat serves as a Commissioner at the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia overseeing civil and political rights issues, including private data protection. From 2016-2020, she has been working as an independent expert, focusing on human rights law, constitutional law, public international law, governance, and corporate social responsibility.

In her previous tenure at the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia from 2004-2012, Dr. Ganbat worked as chief of staff and senior policy officer, focusing on strategic management, human rights research, and policy development.

Dr Ganbat holds a PhD from the Australian National University PhD, with her research investigating the domestic impacts of the international human rights treaty regime. She earned an LL.M. from the University of Melbourne, concentrating on international law, constitutional law, and human rights. Dr. Ganbat graduated from the Law School of the National University of Mongolia, obtaining a LLB degree majoring in international law.
