Dr Alison Darby

Alison Darby is a PhD graduate in Pacific and Asian History. She specializes in the history of Japanese empire, history of medicine, gender studies and disability studies. She is currently the Korea Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow to Monash University, where she is preparing her dissertation titled, Patriotic Marriage: Eugenics, colonial intimacy and the politics of the marital family in the Japanese empire, 1931–1945, for publication as a monograph.
