How We Win on Climate Change? Dr Christian Downie gives TED talk at TEDxANU

At the recent TEDx event organized by ANU PARSA, Dr Christian Downie delivered an insightful talk about the politics of climate change.
“We need policies that harness the power of politics not just the power of markets. We need policies that focus on the benefits of climate action not just the costs” Christian argued.
Drawing from the research he conducted in the US, which he later published in the book “Business Battles in the U.S. Energy Sector: Lessons for a clean energy transition”, Christian claims there are many reasons why governments are failing to act fast on climate change, but the most prominent is opposition from the fossil fuel industry.
