2nd November 2017

The ANU Philippines Project is now accepting applications for its Visiting Fellowships and Collaborative Research Grants for Round 1 2018. Both rounds of applications are due on 07 March 2018. For more information, see below and follow the links.

Visiting Fellowships

The Philippines Project runs a visiting fellowship program offering approximately five to six researchers and/or policymakers a four-week to six-month fellowship to pursue projects focused on inclusive economic growth, trade, politics and governance in the Philippines. The Project reserves the right to determine the length of fellowship awarded to the recipient.

The fellows will be hosted at ANU, however there may be scope for Australian academics to visit a Philippine academic or research institution.

Collaborative Research Grants

The Philippines Project provides small research grants for approximately four to six research projects in 2018 to foster collaborative research between Australian and Philippine researchers. The Project supports innovative research on a range of topics such as inclusive economic growth, politics, conflict and security, law and justice, regulation and governance, and gender in the Philippines.

The grants are intended to cover the cost of initiating new research activities, such as economy airfares going to the Philippines, local travel, field work, data collection or research assistance. Grants typically range from A$10,000 to A$20,000. The Project reserves the right to determine the final amount to be awarded.
