This weekend Sharon Friel will give the keynote speech to the Global Ideas conference on Global Health in a Volatile World.

Sharon is Professor of Health Equity and Director of RegNet. She will be speaking on ‘Health, wealth and self: the threat of climate change’.

In particular she will be exploring how to address the interplay between climate change, urbanisation and health inequities so that the most vulnerable communities are not hit the hardest.

Sharon is currently writing a book on climate change and global health inequities (forthcoming with Oxford University Press).
