RegNet alumna Megan Davis joined Waleed Aly and Scott Stephens on ABC radio’s Minefield to discuss whether constitutional recognition could undermine Aboriginal self-determination.

In the discussion, Megan, now a Professor of Law at UNSW and Chair of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, argues it is important to consult with Aboriginal communities on what from ‘recognition’ might take. She also discusses why the term ‘recognition’ is problematic and why it has contributed to unease in the Aboriginal community.
