RegNet scholar Naing Ko Ko profiled on ABC radio's Triple J Hack
RegNet PhD scholar Naing Ko Ko has been profiled on ABC radio’s Triple J Hack program. Naing Ko, a former political prisoner in Myanmar, talks of his journey learning English in prison, entering New Zealand as a refugee after his release and eventually becoming a PhD scholar with RegNet.
He also reflects on the Myanmar election results and the attitude of Aung San Suu Kyi’s supporters moving forward.
“We never ever discuss revenge, officially, unofficially we never talk about revenge.
“These Burmese generals need to learn three words; how to say thank you, say sorry, say congratulations. That’s all.”
