Jon Altman writes on the government’s proposed changes to Indigenous Work for the Dole programs in the most recent edition of the St Vincent de Paul Society’s The Record. He argues that the move is reminiscent of the pre-award 1960s and discriminatory training allowances forcing people to work for far less than award wages.
