Job opportunity: Research Fellow/Senior Fellow

The School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) is seeking a Fellow/Senior Fellow who will contribute to a new research project led by RegNet’s Associate Professor Nick Bainton together with Professor Peter Yu from the ANU First Nations Portfolio. The project and the position are fully funded by the newly established Rio Tinto Centre for Future Materials (CFFM). The CFFM is led by Imperial College London with 4 global university with the purpose of undertaking fundamental collaborative research to transform how materials critical for the energy transition are produced, used and recycled.

This position is expected to work closely with the project’s First Nations research partners from the Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation from north Western Australia (Roebourne). The Senior Fellow will also have the opportunity to work as part of a larger team of researchers spanning the social and physical sciences from all 5 university partners for the CFFM. At the ANU, they will work closely with Associate Professor Nick Bainton, and a team of researchers from across the ANU in the First Nations Portfolio, the Research School of Social Sciences, and the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science, while contributing to the larger CFFM team discussions involving other projects.

This position targets applicants who are looking to build an innovative portfolio of work that includes research and contributions to the School’s vibrant interdisciplinary education programming.
