Professor Anthea Roberts at the Senior Leadership Workshop, “Dragonfly Thinking: Institutional Strategies for Balancing Risks, Rewards, and Resiliency in a VUCA World”

Early April, RegNet’s Professor Anthea Roberts co-led the Senior Leadership Workshop, Dragonfly Thinking: Institutional Strategies for Balancing Risks, Rewards, and Resiliency in a VUCA World, hosted by the Center on the Legal Profession at Harvard Law School. The workshop was attended by chief legal officers and general counsels from leading companies to discuss some of the pressing issues organisations face today: how to deal with challenges such as ESG, geopolitical risk, and the use and misuse of AI and other similar technologies in a world that is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA).

Professor Roberts introduced her Risks, Rewards, and Resiliency (Triple R) Framework, a method for navigating complex decision-making through an interactive discussion. She also demonstrated how the framework could be enhanced with AI tools, encouraging Dragonfly Thinking by integrating multiple perspectives to understand complex issues. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for the Australian National University and RegNet to connect and engage with world-leading organisations, fostering dialogue and collaboration on some of the most critical issues affecting businesses and institutions today.
