Tony started his PhD in 2013, bringing expertise in Aboriginal health, international health and public policy. He has an interest in researching aspects of health as influenced by politics, participation and empowerment. Tony has worked with the United Nations and the Australian Aid Program in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, as well as the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and non-Government organisations in Australia.
For his PhD, Tony will investigate how the social construction of target groups in health policy design influences the implementation of health policy for socially disadvantaged groups.
