She has also a strong background in the field of Tax law both within the government and in private practice.
In her doctoral studies, she specializes in lawmaking and regulation of the Finnish corporate law (incl. companies, foundations, associations and co-operatives). Her thesis examines the understandings and regulatory tactics behind the legislation.
During her stay in RegNet, she examines Better Regulation strategies in Australia. Her research focus is to examine how policy makers in Finland can take advantage of Australian regulatory design principles and tools, as well as analyse their suitability to Finnish lawmaking.
University of Eastern Finland, Law School, is the only university in the Nordic Countries specialising in lawmaking and legislative studies. Satu hopes that her visit in RegNet will help to build a network between UEF and RegNet.
