Harshit Trivedi is a research assistant at the ANU Cybercrime Observatory, working under the supervision of Professor Roderic Broadhurst. He is currently assisting Roderic in his study on detection and defense mechanism of malicious spam email messages, and hopes to extend the existing study to implement supervised learning to detect and prevent malicious spams.

Harshit is currently a student at the College of Engineering and Computer Science pursuing Master of Computing and specializing in Artificial Intelligence. Upon completion of this degree, he hopes to take up a research based role in the field of Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing.

Originally from India, he has completed his Bachelor of Technology majoring in Computer Science & Engineering, where he was exposed to the field of Artificial Intelligence for the first time. Before coming to ANU, Harshit has worked as a System Developer at Samsung Engineering India for close to 2 years.

Research interests

Cyber Terror and Cyber Warfare, Machine Learning, Distributed Denial of Service Attacks, Cryptocurrencies, Darknet Marketplaces.
