Will Orr is a Research Officer for the Justice and Technoscience (JusTech) lab at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet). Will is an interdisciplinary scholar with training in sociology, politics, Science and Technology Studies and applied data analytics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, Honours in Sociology and a Master of Applied Data Analytics from the Australian National University. His research examines the culture and politics of technologies, with an emphasis on the values expressed by data-driven technologies in their design and implementation. Will’s Honours thesis investigated how Australian Artificial Intelligence practitioners conceptualise and interpret ethics in the design of their systems.
