Australia’s position on geographical indications has been heavily influenced by the potential trade impacts of protecting names of European regions such as Parma and Brie. Drawing on a number of case studies this talks assesses whether Australian regional areas can benefit from geographical indication systems. Seminar by Professor Peter Drahos.
