Ian wins the Association of Chinese Criminology and Criminal Justice (ACCCJ) 2017 Jiang-Land-Wang Outstanding Student Paper Award.
The award was presented at the ACCCJ Annual General Meeting on 15 November in Philadelphia, USA.

His thesis topic is ‘Experience and Prospects for Restorative Pluralism in Chinese Criminal Justice: Lessons from People’s Mediation, Criminal Reconciliation and Traditional “De Gu” Mediation’. Currently, Ian is also the secretary of the Asian Criminological Society and works as the managing editor of the Asian Journal of Criminology.
