RegNet Visiting Fellow Sarah James has discussed the economic pressures facing local farmers and obstacles to buying locally in the Sydney region in an interview with local Sydney radio station 2ser. In the interview Sarah discusses the results of her recent study, noting that though there is increased interest in ‘buying locally’, there are also practices, such as the prevalence of reseller markets, requiring a greater level of transparency around what exactly is ‘locally produced’.
