Professor and Associate Professor
The Professor and Associate Professor will be research leaders within RegNet and undertake internationally acclaimed research in the field of regulation and governance. They will also contribute to RegNet’s education program and engage in the intellectual life of RegNet, CAP and the wider University community.

Braithwaite Research Fellow
The Braithwaite Research Fellow will be a rising star in the area of governance and regulation. They will undertake nationally acclaimed research in the field of regulation and governance and engage in the intellectual life of RegNet, CAP and the wider University community.The Braithwaite Research Fellow is an inaugural appointment established in honour of RegNet founders and international prize-winning academics, Professors John and Valerie Braithwaite. Valerie Braithwaite, whose PhD was in psychology, joined ANU in 1978 and John whose PhD was in criminology and sociology in 1984. They both spent many years heading diverse research groups at the ANU, with interests including restorative justice, tax system integrity, corporate crime, child protection, responsive regulation, regulatory theory, trust and hope in democracy and international peacebuilding. They launched the Regulatory Institutions Network in 2000 after success in a university-wide competition for new research initiatives. John was RegNet’s first Director and Valerie its third. The fellowship is not restricted to the areas where Valerie and John have worked and may be taken up in any area of regulation and governance.
