Symposium: ‘21st Century Regulation and Governance Challenges’
Let eminent scholars in the fields of regulation, governance and policy take you on a tour de force of regulatory approaches to the major societal and environmental challenges of our time. Themes include: crime, human rights, climate change, and health equity.

This session will conclude with former President of Kiribati, Anote Tong giving his reflections from the perspective of a small Pacific island nation. Kiribati is predicted to be one of the first nations to be a major victim of climate change and rising sea levels. President Tong has been a prominent international advocate for climate change regulation and global governance.

ABC Radio National Big Ideas panel ‘The end of Globalisation? The role for responsive regulation and governance’
Be the studio audience for this live recording and watch Radio National’s producer Paul Barclay put a panel of experts through their paces. RegNet experts will be joined on the panel by former President of Kiribati, Anote Tong, and Mr Allan Asher, former Deputy Chairperson of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Book launch ‘Regulatory Theory’ and formal launch of new school name
Hear about the new RegNet book ‘Regulatory Theory’ from its editor Prof Peter Drahos, with speeches from Prof Brian Schmidt AC, ANU Vice Chancellor and Prof Michael Wesley, Dean of the College of Asia and the Pacific, ANU.

Reception
Rub shoulders with our authors and experts and catch up with old and new friends and colleagues over drinks and nibbles.
