Symphorien Pyana

Mr Symphorien Pyana holds an MA in political philosophy from the Jesuit Saint Pierre Canisius College (Kinshasa, 2006) and a second MA in Peace Studies and international Relations at the Jesuit Hekima College institute of Peace Studies and International Relations(Nairobi, Kenya).

His work experience includes philosophy and religion teaching (Kikwit, DR Congo 2007), Social minitry and advocay for social justice and human rights (Wamaza, Diocese of Kasongo, 2002-2003), research in peace and justice (the Jesuit Center for Apostolate Research (CEPAS, Kinshasa, 2008), and conflict transformation (Life and Peace Institute, Bukavu, DR Congo, Mai-June 2009; and Francisan Africa: Office Justice and Integrity of creation, Since March 2009).

Since June 2008, he has led the Association des Ami(e)es du Pere Tony (Association of Friends of Father Tony) or ASAPT, which is dedicated to the promotion of peace in Eastern DR Congo.
