Kylie McKenna

Kylie completed her PhD Interdependent engagement: Achieving corporate social responsibility in Bougainville and Papua under Professor John Braithwaite.

The focus of her thesis was the way in which major resource companies in Bougainville and Papua can contribute to peaceful development and avoid the violent conflict that is often associated with natural resource extraction.

She also studied Sociology at the University of Sydney where she received first class honours in 2007 for her thesis: ‘Rethinking the social in corporate social responsibility: A case study of Shell in Nigeria’.
