Ali Gohar

MA in Conflict Transformation (Eastern Mennonite University)

Ali Gohar works as a Program Officer with Oxfam on ending honour killings. For thirteen years, he served as Additional Commissioner in the Social Welfare Cell for Afghan refugees–a project of (UNHCR). During his tenure, he sought to make public the plight of street children among Afghan refugees. He wrote two Pushto plays for Pakistan Television Corporation on HIV awareness & Domestic Violence.

Recently he completed a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation as a Fulbright Scholar from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA. Ali Gohar co-wrote “The Little Book of Restorative Justice” in Pak- Afghan context, originally authored by Howard Zehr and Restorative Justice, Policing and Insurgency: Learning from Pakistan with John Braithwaite.
